District Attorney Charles J. Hynes presents awards to Jewish Heritage Essay contest winners
April 23, 2013: On April 23rd 2013, District Attorney Hynes met with the winners of the Association of Orthodox Jewish Teachers’ (A.O.J.T.) Jewish Heritage Essay contest. The contest was open to students in elementary, junior high school and high school. The topics for the essays represented a variety of themes on Jewish culture, history and customs. All entrants received a certificate of merit from the Association of Orthodox Jewish Teachers. The goal of the A.O.J.T is to provide a program for the exchange of cultural, professional and social activities which all students in the New York City public school system are invited to participate in.
